This sample probably originates from the erosion of offshore sand banks in the North Sea. Sandstone blocks can be found on the beaches of Knokke (BE) and Cadzand and Nieuwvliet (NL) (Dusar et al. 2009, 503-509). They are often referred to as "Zwinwachters".
