Reduced brown fabric; black core brown edge (PPL), black (XP).
Semi-homogenous matrix, non-calcareous with no optical activity.

Quartz (++; mono, poly, cf: r, medium to coarse sand, ff: sr-sa, very fine sand, weathering, alteration, eq & el; bimodal), sedimentary rock detritus (++; possible quartz arenite, some slightly metamorf), chert/flint (++), muscovite mica (+-; cf & ff, eq & el), feldspars (+; plagioclase, orthoclase, microcline: r, cf), amphibole/pyroxene (+-; r, cf, weathered), O/Fe (+), semiplastics/clay pellets (+-, iron-rich).
The coarse fraction consists of medium to coarse sand, the fine fraction consists of very fine sand. Grains are generally rounded to subangular. Bimodal, possible sand temper. Overall the fabric is poorly to very poorly sorted and orientated, double spaced.

Small planar voids and larger vughs, well aligned parallel to the edge, no infill.

- The fabric is characterized by a semi-homogenous reduced matrix with no optical activity and moderately high porosity. Dominant quartz inclusions with very frequent sedimentary rock detritus, chert/flint, frequent feldspars and opaques/iron oxides, common muscovite mica, amphibole/pyroxene, and iron-rich clay pellets. Bimodal, possible sand temper. Overall poorly sorted fabric.
