dominantly quartz (both mono- and polycrystalline); lithic fragments: flint, quartzite and silicified chalk – bioclastic mudstone; cement: 2 to 3 generations of silica cement: 1. Quartz overgrowths with nice dust lines; 2. Microquartz; 3. Megaquartz; silicified shell fragments (up to 8 mm in length); locally dissolved shells (mouldic porosity); small relicts of calcitic bioclasts (shells?) still left; moulds are locally lined with goethite (limonite)
